Hannibal Rocks ROCKS!
"Where to start? Tom and Debbie Wombles bought a rock quarry for an off-road park- yeah, right... Well, it works- Tom started pulling down rock faces and whittling out challenges, and Debbie cut trails. Now they have their own rock crawling series, RROCK, and host WEROCK events, too. The Off Road Shop Challenge is a new type of event that gets quite exciting. Even more areas are being created for more and better competition. Ever see a rock buggy do a nose wheelie? It's almost certain to happen several times during an event. Because of the way it's situated, it's very spectator friendly with various courses being run all around the spectating area. This is a park well worth visiting as a competitor, trail rider, or spectator. If you get a group together, you can get a good deal on some off-site trail riding ranging from stock vehicle easy to built and broke difficult. To see some more, search YouTube for Hannibal Rocks."

"Dear Editor:
I just wanted to spread the word about the off-road park just south of Hannibal, located at the old rock quarry on Salt River Hill, called Hannibal Rocks. If you or your family have not been there yet, you are missing some great entertainment.
At each event, you will see guys and girls go up nearly vertical rock walls like they are going for a Sunday drive. They will also sometimes roll their rigs and then flip them back over and keep goingif their rigs are still drivable.
They also have trails for 4x4 vehicles. Even a stock rig can go on some trails with little problem.
Most events allow kids 14 and under to get in free. If you have a camper, there is a campground (Injun Joe Campgrounds) less than a mile from the park.
There is also food provided by local organizations like the New London Volunteer Fire Department or the Frankford Volunteer Fire Department. Funds raised through food sales go to help purchase equipment to help the local community.
About rock crawling itself, is currently the fastest growing motorsport in America. Hannibal Rocks, in less than a year since it opened, has already been on Spike TVs X-treme 4x4 and in Crawl Magazine.
So if you want some good cheap entertainment and family-type events, you have to check it out.
For more information, you can call me at 573-248-7423. Ill be happy to tell you about the upcoming events."

| "Thanks for a Great day
on New Years... My group had a blast, especially my dad (driving
my blue XJ around)... I kind of thought he would have been
a little gun shy with it, but boy was I wrong... He was "driving
it like it was stolen", up until the point that he broke it...
but he never stopped smiling even after that.. Well we got
it back onto the trailer, then dad started walking around
pointing out dents and asking "Did I do that???", "how about
that one??" so finally after about a 5 minute inspection we
finally found a new dent that he could call his, and he was
so proud (rolling my eyes)... We also had a "first timer"
with us and he is now hooked too... Hopefully the park will
be able to recover from the excessive use on New Years, and
thanks again for the great "eats", and you where right about
the RSVP line during registration it was an excellent idea...

| "Tom, and Debbie, I want
to thank you guys personally, as well as for the other members
of our club for the 101 class last Sunday. We all found all
of the information very informative and helpful. Especially
the driving tips, and winching. Since none of us have winches
yet, and only a few of us have any off road experience, all
of the real world experiences that Tom shared with us was
invaluable. I think we are all now just a little bit better,
and safer Jeepers thanks to you guys. I also just want to
say, and I can speak for everyone in the group, that we think
you guys are probably the nicest, and most helpful people
that we have met. You have a great park, and we are looking
foreword to spending a lot of time over there on the trails.
Thanks again for everything.
Jeep On!" Scott S.

| "Thanks to Tom and Debbie
and staff who went above and beyond for us over Memorial Day
weekend when our YJ's clutch line sprung a leak, although
after numerous phone calls, introduced us to Garrett and Milton
who spent 2 hours and a valiant effort to get us a "
field fix" that held and enabled us to finish the trip
and enjoy the trails and hospitality of a fine Organization
named Rockport Off Road Park. It was our son's first trip
and he saw first hand the kind of people who are involved
in jeeping and just how great they can be! Thank you again."

| "Just wanted to say "THANK
YOU" to the people of RORP for the good time we had.
We are from around the Alton area and usually would go to
St.Joe Park, but I saw your web site and decided that we should
try your park. So we went on New Years Day. That is some of
the best trails we have ever been on and we will defintly
be back. So thanks again for the FANTASTIC TIME"

| "I'd just like to thank
you guys for showing us a great time on the 26th! Most of
us were a little apprehensive about the trip because we have
mainly stock Jeeps, and not a lot of off road experience.
But Everyone down there made us feel very comfortable. Not
once did any of us feel that we were in over our heads.
The trail guides were very helpful, they showed us different
lines to take, and tips to get over tougher spots. The food
you had at the office was very good, and reasonably priced.
We were all very impressed with the park, and would recommend
it to anyone. We will definitely return soon. Thanks again
for a great time! Jeep On!" Scott S.

"I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you
guys at RORP. For anyone who will read this I want to explain
my experience with the park. My friend and I drove down from
Washington, a small town outside of Peoria. It's about a 2-1/2
hour drive. We got there a little early so we figured we would
have to wait a while since they did not open for about a half
hour. But to our suprise, they unlocked the office early and
allowed us to sign in and begin our day.
The staff at the park is so friendly! They took the time
to explain everything from how they started the park to where
the best places are to ride.
This place is amazing! It truly is a woods rider's dream.
Plenty of trails, creek beds and challenging hills will keep
you busy all day long. And I didn't even mention the mud for
all you mud hogs out there. Needless to say you've got a couple
of lifetime fans here that are going to tell everyone that
will listen about this place.
Also, kudos to RORP for keeping it privately controlled.
We'll be back!" Washington, IL
